Business headshot types

When scrolling LinkedIn there’s a vast range of content to look through. One thing that every post has in common is that the author has an avatar. This might be a logo or a picture of themselves.

We’ll focus on the latter for this post and take a little look into the different types of headshot.

The classic.

And classic for a reason. A shot of you looking directly at the camera is one of the most powerful ways to connect with your audience. With the right posing and lighting, you can reflect your values and ethos in a single image. And fast!

I use a very unique method to get the best from your time with me. Photos of you looking present, professional and approachable are key to connecting.

The candid

Some people choose to show themselves ‘in action’. This can be a powerful way to show people what it is you do well. And a great way for this is to have a reportage style shoot of you doing your thing. A great choice for public speakers, sportspeople and those that want to be known for ‘the thing’ that they do.
